BBC Motd Extended Highlights
Manchester City went into the game against Aston Villa with massive oppertunity of winning the three points and taking 2 points to the last game of the season.
The game started with a small downpour which kind of helped city in their crisp passing and movement but Aston Villa stood firm and actualy defended very resiliantly throughout the first half. Towards the end of first 45 minutes city looked absolutely clueless and their only shot on target in the first half came in the 5th minute.
At the break game was 0-0 and although city could not break down Villa, they would have been happy with the draw to say the least, but as the game wore on in 2nd half city started to pull their passes together which made Villa go deep in their defence. Just as Villa were squeezing 10 players in the box and frustrate city, david Silva picked out a beautiful pass through Villa defence, right back Pablo Zabaleta squared the ball for Dzeko who made no mistake in putting ball in the back of the net.
At that point Villa were totaly ripped apart and city scored their 2nd of the night through bosnian striker Dzeko who scored his 2nd of the night. Going into the last game against West Ham United at Etihad stadium all city need is atleast a draw and they will be the champions for the 2nd time in 3 years.
