Liverpool came from 1-0 down to win 2-1 against Newcastle United but failed to win the league title as city demolished west ham. Liverpool finish as runnerup.
Brendon Rodgers side Liverpool will be taking on Newcastle United in what could be the biggest game in the history of Liverpool since 1989. Premier league title is at stake and although Liveprool dont have their fate in own hands they rely on result of man city vs west ham united. If man City lose against West Ham and Liverpool beat Newcastle United title is going to mersey side first time in last 24 years.
Manchester City are playing at home and they should win this game easily and win their 2nd title in 3 years, but Liveprool produced their best season since the premier league was reformed back in 1992. They are also playing for the 2nd place finish as Chelsea are just 2 points behind Liveprool and if they lose against Newcastle and Chelsea win their game againts Cardiff they will lose the 2nd position. So there is alot to play for Liveprool.
It was newcastle United who took the lead when Martin Skrtel scored an own goal, and thing were not looking good at the break when Liveprool were losing 1-0. But thing changed in second half when Liverpool scored two quick goals in 63rd and 65th minute through Daniel Agger and Sturridge to go 2-1 up before newcastle united had one player sent off.
