National Team Coach: Jose Pekerman

Pekerman has all the experience in the world and he is the driving force behind Colombia rise to the top, he guided Argentina to the quarter final spot in the FIFA World Cup 2006 in germany. Pekerman likes to build his team on strong defence and that was they case why he was sacked by from Argentina spot, having said that Colombia conceded fewer goal than any other south american team in the qualifiers.

Colombia’s Best Starting Lineup:

Colombia starting lineup in world cupWith Rademal Falcao and Jackson Martinez leading the line Colombia has fire-power to test any defence in the world cup teams, their strongest point however is the rock solid defence and they setup perfectly for counter attacks with pace on the wings and in midfield.

Key Players: Rademal Falcao

One of the most feared striker in Europe, playing at the peak of his career. Falcao had a injury ridden season but will definately be fit enough to start the first game of the world cup. He got pace, can play off the last defender and most importantly score goals for fun.

Young player to keep a note of: James Rodriguez

Monaco Rodriguez for $50 million at the same time with Falcao, Rodriguez can play on the left side of midfiel or as the attacking midfielder. At the age of 22 probably its too much to expect from him but the boy has all the talent to succeed at the highest level.
