Jose Mourinhi has been playing down his team’s chances of winning the premier league all season but with jsut 5 games more to go, they are top of the table after beating Stoke City at home in what was a convincing win which puts them first in the league standings with 72 points of 33 games. Liveprool (71) and Man City (70) are chasing closely and they have 1 and 2 games in hand respectively.
Chelsea just can not afford to drop any more points in the remaining 5 matches, they need to win them all if they stand a chance to win the league, although if City or Liverpool win all their games they will win the league. Mourinho fielded a strong side, only Eden Hazard was the big name player on the bench.
Newsigning Mohammad Saleh scoring the first goal after just 32 minutes on the cloack while Frank Lampard missed the penalty but scored from rebound to make it 2-0 after break. Brazilian midfielder Willian scored 3rd of the night for Chelsea and three points in the bag.
