Chelsea having won their game against everton earlier on saturday premier league football, left Arsenal trailing 4 points of the top of the table and they really needed to win the game against Sunderland at Emirates to keep the pace with high flying Chelsea. Arsene Wenger men were motivated after 2-0 defeat in the hands of Bayern Munich and they scored an early goal through their top scorer Olivier Giroud who scored 2 goals in the opening half an hour and virtualy killed the game off.
Czech international Tomas Rosicky scored arsenal’s 3rd before Koscielny made it 4-0 on the day and it looked like a embarrasing defeat on the cards for Sunderland but they did hold on to this scoreline and even managed to score one of their own and end the game 4-1 in Arsenal’s favour.
