Spanish La Liga lived up to its bill this year with Atletico Madrid breaking the big (Real Madrid and Barcelona) dominance in great style. They not only won the league but got themselves a Champions League final berth where they will be playing against Real Madrid this week.
Towards the last couple of weeks in La Liga season all top three teams had a chance to win the league, Real Madrid lost their game against a midtable club while Malaga held Atletico to give Barcelona a slight chance going into the final day, but it was Diego Simone’s Atletico who notched up their first title in this century.
Real Madrid had Ronaldo firing on all cylenders this season as he finish top goal scorer in the league while Lionel Messi struggled with injuries but still managed to get closer to Ronaldo tally while Player of the season has to go to Diego Costa who was absolute sensational throughout the season.
