Two of the title challengers City and Chelsea went head to head for the 2nd time this season, it was a classic monday night football match where Man city were slight favourites going into the game but Jose Mourinho has already started his mind games going into the most important period of the season.
Man City went into the game with two strikers upfront in Dzeko and Negredo while Chelsea packed the midfield with the likes of Ramirez, Matic, Luis, Willian and Hazard and that proved to be the key in the first half. City created a few chances specialy the one where Yaya Toure squared the ball for Silva who’s deft touch almost went into the goal. Chelsea however took the lead through Ivanovic in the 32nd minute and both sides went into the break with Chelsea winning.
Manchester City came hard at chelsea in the 2nd half but they just could not find the ball in the back of the net. Chelsea on the other hand looked really dangerous at the counter attack.
