Manchester City had a chance to go top of the table atleast for a few hours when they took on Swansea City in the Premier League game on New year’s day. Manuel Pelligrini had few selections headechs and injury worries going into the match but they kind of form City has shown in december they were going into the game as hot favourites. Swansea City on the other hand establishing themselves a decent premier league midtable club who can beat any one on their day.
Game start with away side taking the league in 14th minute of the game which was virtualy first good run of play for either side and it was Brazilian Fernandinho who made it 1-0 for Manchester City. Game was a pretty dull affair but came to life just before the break when Wilfried Bony scored in injury time of first half to put Swansea back on level terms.
Yaya Toure scored another goal for the away side to make it 2-1 in fabout of city who now go top of the league with all three points and 2 clear of Arsenal who have 42 points.
