Sunderland defeated Cardiff City by 4-0 and got themselves out of the bottom three and gave themselves an excellent chance of survival.

Sunderland defeated rival relegation contendars on Sunday after noon by 3-0 in what was their best performance of the season. Now Sunderland have 32 points on the table out 35 games while cardiff went rock bottom with 30 points of 36 games. Fulham and Norwich city have 30 and 30 points repectively after 36 games which means we have 4 teams fighting for survival in the league going into the last 2 games of the season.
Wickam gave Sunderland a much needed start with a goal in 26th minute while Cardiff City’s day went from bad to worse when Cala got straight red card and Borini scored penalty to make it 2-0 before the break.
Sunderland scored one more after the break in 76th minute when Giaccherini scored in 76th minute to take Sunderland out of bottom zone.
