It was billed as the premier league title decider, the match between Liverpool and Manchester city had a build up like none other this season. Either side could have won the game and put the title challenge to bed. Liverpool playing at home on a emotional day of Hilsbrough disaster memorial week, started the game in usualy fashion. Pressing hard and pushing early on for the opening goal and that duly came when Luis Suarez sent Sterling through on goal and 19 year old scored his 7th goal of the season in spectacular fashion.

City never got going in the opening half and hour and Liverpool scored another just before the half hour mark when defender Martin Skrtel put the ball in the back of the net to send anfield into sheer delight. Brendon Rodgers men pressed city and pressed throughout the first half which kind of rattled former league champions. Game finished 2-0 in favour of Liverpool at halftime.

After the break both sides struggle for momentum but it took a nice neat movement from City midfield who created a superb goal with a few passes started from the left side reached on the right where Milner combined well with Fernandinho before squaring the ball to Silva who tapped home with his left foot.

The goal gave city the belief they were missing and Liverpool had to weather a strom, but a unlucky goal came city way as the game went level at 2-2 when Silva’s deflected shot sneaked in. But it looks like this season is going to be Liveprool’s after getting battered at the start of 2nd half Liverpool somehow dig deep and managed to grab another goal when it looked like city are in total control. Philippe Coutinho scored in 78th minute to make it 3-2.
