In the 2nd leg of quater final tie between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona we had a very surprising result, Atletico found out Barcelona finaly and frustrated them throughout the course of two legs (180) minutes. Lione Messi and company are out of Europe alongside Manchester United who also got beaten by bayern in the other quarter final in the same night.
Atletico had a dreat start to the 2nd leg playing at home, after getting a well deserved draw away at camp nou they scored within first 5 minutes to get the lead and it was also the fastest goal scored in Champions league knockouts. Atletico Madrid took control of the match from there on, well not literaly.
Barcelona had their fair of possession and chances but never looked threatning in front of the goal, on the other hand home side had wonderful chances of the counter attacks but Barca keeper and defenders kept them in the game.
